Fellowship Meals – St. Michael will gather each Wednesday during Lent at 6 p.m for a fellowship meal. Next week, March 23, our Christian Education Board will supply and serve the food. Their theme is “A Picnic in the Spring.” Picnic-type foods will be served (including Hot Dogs!) So come and enjoy.
Worship – following the fellowship meal, a brief, 30-minute worship service will be held at 7 p.m. This year’s theme is “Who’s Cross Is It Anyway?” Th St. Michael youth are once again providing a skit and a children’s program is provided by Pastor Judy during the adult sermon. All are welcome!
In observance of the beginning of Lent, St. Michael will gather for worship at 7 p.m. The service will include corporate confession, scripture lessons, the sermon “Whose Cross is it Anyway?”, imposition of ashes, and Holy Communion. As always, visitors are welcome and encouraged to attend and participate.

The St. Michael Youth will be leading worship on Sunday, March 27. They are planning special music and a skit (written by the Skit Guys!). Please come out and support our youth as they take on this important responsibility. PLEASE NOTE: There will be only ONE worship service on this day @ 10:00 a.m. Sunday school will start at 9:00 a.m.

This Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011 at 3 p.m., St. Michael will host a fine arts concert featuring several local musicians. About a half-dozen soloists and enembles from Whiteford High School will be performing. These high school students received top ratings at the district solo/ensemble contest and will be competing at the state contest in March. In addition, St. Michael organist Mary Holtzen will be performing as will the St. Michael Brass Quintet. The brass quintet consists of Mike Machcinski (trumpet), Bethany Philepek (trumpet), Dave Welling (French Horn), Jaylon Sims (trombone) and Pastor Gibbs (Euphonium). The concert is free of charge and open to the public.
